About Me
My name is Clare.
Since my teenage years I considered myself to be a 'party girl'! I have always been sociable and confident and felt drinking alcohol was enhancing that.
But with middle age and the menopause knocking at my door along came a new relationship with alcohol. Crippling hangovers and hangziety, wasted weekends, memory loss, and a general sense of not liking who I saw in the mirror.
Drinking was affecting me in more and more ways and I decided that something needed to change. I have been sober since 2022 and it's quite honestly the best thing I have ever done.
Why choose me?

I am lucky to have trained with The Sober Club and this has given me the professional tools to combine with my personal experience.
I have worked with both men and women and have a personal interest in the link between neuro-divergence and alcohol.
Having watched a close family member get sober and then discover a hidden diagnosis of ADHD, I know the impact it can have.
Neuro-diversity can so often be the hidden cause for problems with alcohol and can add challenges when going through a journey to sobriety.
I offer a non-judgemental space, with personal and professional experience, to support these clients.
How can I help?
A lived experience of what you are feeling
A safe, totally non-judgmental space to talk
The chance to be completely open about alcohol
A chance to identify reasons for drinking too much in the first place
Practical advice about living booze free
A chance to do something different, not relying on will power alone.
